HISTORY : The vineyard has been established in the 17th century with the Château des Plassons. Before only located in the south of Charente the Vineyard has been considerably extented since the past 15 yers.

SOIL : exceptional geological plateau of limestone

GRAPE VARIETIES : 100% Ugni blanc

GROWING AREA : Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois and Bons Bois

VINEYARDS AREA : 200 hectares

AVERAGE AGE OF VINES : 30 years

VINIFICATION : Natural wine fermentation thanks to a high control of the temperatures all along the process

DISTILLATION : In the outbuildings of the castle, we lead the stills with a process of a doublediscontinu distillation in hundred-years-old Alambic charentais made of copper.All the aromas of the wine can release themselves.

BLEND : Over 10 different "Eaux de vie" from, Bon bois & Fin bois. In the peaceful one hundred year old winery, our cognacs aged harmoniously 2 to 6 years before bottling under the name of VS. The contact with the oak from the limousin region of France gives the spirit a light golden color.

TASTING NOTES : Rich and strong, this cognac is the reflet of our soil and know how. Nose and mouth are very sensitive. Drink this Cognac Rastinac VS in aperitif lengthened by soft drink or in cocktail. Try also to singe crustaceans or deserts with.
